This project is inspired by “Flatland”, a satirical novella by the English schoolmaster Edwin Abbott Abbott, and it aims at exploring the possibilities of different dimensions and, metaphorically speaking, of leaving the 2-dimensional landscape of fashion and exploring the higher dimensions of 3D scanning, a tool that the fashion and arts industry are gradually embracing.

It tells a story of an avatar who embodies different personalities just like a video game character changes his appearance when reaching different levels in the game.
In this imaginary world the model disintegrates, decomposes and loses his physical state.
Apart of being an investigation of new media and aesthetics, this work also constitutes a visual metaphor of the current state of fashion, which is in the process of mutating and disintegrating to find a new way of being.
